SuperShare SAN infrastructure

SuperShare SAN Switch and Hub are the core components of CalDigit shared storage network. Hub allows for connection of HDPro 24 and/or HDPro 2 storage, from which media is being accessed. Adding aditional storage leverages capacity as well as overall performance. Switch enables us to connect additional SAN users.

Optical cables reaching 100m give flexibility to the way users are connected to SAN network.

Dedicated Host cards along witch Switch, Hub and optical cables coming from one vendor guarantee that all components will work seamlessly together. Direct PCI-e 20Gbps connection eliminates conversion and latency.

SuperShare SAN management is available through a customer`s choosen software
solution ( XSAN, StorNext, metaSAN or SANmp) and a dedicated Metadata controlling server.

Ability to use mobile computers in SAN network through ExpressCard is another advantage
of SuperShare architecture.
